Commercial Photography is a three-year program beginning in the sophomore year. The program is divided into two parts: one class focuses on the photography basics while the other covers technology and software. In the photo course, students become acquainted with digital cameras, studio lighting, and digital correction. In the technology course the students learn the basics of all three programs. In the junior year, digital photography assignments are based on real world projects and expose the students to a full range of photography fields. In the senior year, studio photography is divided into two parts. One part focuses on developing the student’s personal vision through a year - long theme investigation, resulting in a print as well as a digital portfolio and book. The second part of the course is designed to develop business skills.
