ARCHITECTURE

We have a rigorous CTE Architecture Department: our courses begin with Freshman Foundation basic architectural hand drafting & design skills. In the sophomore year, students will learn construction documents while implementing architectural and industrial design & drafting with AutoCAD training, design development in architecture, interior design and site planning projects. Junior year concentrates on the study and production of formal models, draft plans and mixed media renderings. Throughout the year students also focus on basic construction techniques that give them an understanding of how residential buildings are constructed. Students will be able to produce two-dimensional drawings and CAD drawings of floor plans, elevations, etc. In the final senior semester, students are involved in a community based independent planning project judged by professional industry partners, and continue to have comprehensive training in developing their portfolios, independent thesis design projects and participate in design competitions and workshops.
